Our Gun Buying Formula

   We evaluate a gun’sretail value based on a number of sources, including our extensive library.  We generally find the most up-to-date and current gun values at Gunbroker.com and the online Blue Book of Gun Values.   

   Once we determine the retail value of your firearm, we offer 70% of that value in cash or trade for all modern firearms if they are in at least 80% Blue Book condition.  We offer 50% of the retail value in cash for firearms in less than 80% condition because of the increased time and effort required to sell these less-desirable guns.  Single shot shotguns, black powder replicas and .22 single shot rifles also fall in the 50% offer category.  The value of any repairs or replacement parts required is deducted from our offer price.

   Many customers prefer to take advantage of our consignment service.  When a gun is consigned, the seller receives 80% of the sale price, less a $20 set-up charge for firearms which sell for less than $300.  Consigned guns are posted every Thursday night on Gunbroker.com.  This method allows the seller to monitor their item online 24/7 and confirm the actual sale price.  Once a consigned gun sells it can take from one to ten days to receive payment and the required FFL license from the buyer.  After we receive the required paperwork and payment the gun is shipped, which can take an additional one to four days.  Once the transfer FFL receives the gun the buyer has a three day inspection period.  After the Buyer has accepted the gun, or once the three day inspection period has expired, we cut a check to the seller for 80% of the selling price less a $20 set up fee if the selling price was less than $300.
